CherryCherry

CHERRY has over 60 years of experience manufacturing switch and sensor products, as well as computer input devices. Originally founded in 1953 by Walter Cherry (Highland Park, IL), CHERRY was acquired in 2008 by German automotive company ZF Friedrichshafen AG, one of the largest automotive companies in the world. ZF manufactures axle drives, suspensions, chassis systems as well as several other products for cars and off-highway applications.

The CHERRY brand specifically applies to a full-line of switches, sensors, keyboards, mice and point-of-sale equipment. With fully automated manufacturing locations worldwide, CHERRY produces over 280 million parts per year; all of which are synonymous with durability, reliability and quality in the electronic component industry.

The CHERRY switch line offers various microswitches, rocker switches, sealed rocker switches and interlock/pushbutton switches. For sensor products, the CHERRY line includes angle position sensors, gear tooth speed sensors, magnetic proximity sensors, speed & direction sensors and digital vane sensors.

New in 2015, CHERRY will debut a line of Energy Harvesting products; a compact and powerful energy harvesting generator, snap-action switch, rocker switch and receiver.
