WHMA/IPC A620 Certification
Our Inspection teams as well as our Production Supervisors have all earned the WHMA/IPC-A-620 certification as Registered Instructors. WHMA/IPC-A-620 is the first consensus standard for cable
and wire harness fabrication and installation. Classes of products are
defined and include criteria for Target, Acceptable, Process Indicator,
and Defect conditions. Marsh MarVac has implemented this training
certification program for all production staff and is certified for
all three classes of A620. Training on the following criteria is
included in the WHMA/IPS-A-620 program:
- Cable and wire dimensioning; tolerances and preparation
- Crimp terminations:
- Stamped and formed contacts
- Machined contacts
- Insulation displacement connections
- Ultrasonic welding
- Soldered terminations
- Splices
- Connectorization
- Molding and potting
- Co-ax and twin-ax assembly
- Wire bundle securing
- Shielding
- Installation
- Wire wrap (solderless)
